Bus Service

The Bus Depot is situated at Fira. Every departure and arrival is taken place at the central square of Fira and there are no direct lines from one part of the island to the other. However the bus service is very regular especially on summer months and well organized. Destinations include Akrotiri, Athinios (the ferry pier), Ia, Kamari, Monolithos (the airport), Perissa, Perivolas Beach, Vlihada, and Vourvoulos. Excursion buses travel to major attractions. Prices range between 0,95 euro to 1,50 euro. During high season, some routes operate until around 03:00.

Taxi Service

The main taxi stand is just below Fira square.
All taxis charge extra fees for carrying luggage, for night-time service, and for orders by telephone. All taxis have a minimum charge of 2 Euro.

Car/Bike Hire

As on most islands, hiring a car / bike is the most convenient way to get around the island.  There are many models of cars available and motorbikes are also popular on the island.
